Pediatric Eye Exams
Routine pediatric eye exams should start at 6 months of age and should be done annually to ensure your baby’s eyes are healthy, the eye muscle movements and alignment are developing properly and that the eyes are focusing together.
Routine pediatric eye exams should ideally begin at 6 months of age.
We recommend initiating regular pediatric eye exams when a child is 6 months old. Subsequently, it’s important to have these exams annually to early detect issues such as refractive errors and eye misalignment, crucial steps in preventing amblyopia, also known as lazy eye. Our approach covers all phases of a child’s visual development, enabling us to track and spot any shifts in eye health, such as misalignment, refractive problems, and other visual disorders. Catching these conditions early is vital for their effective management and treatment.
